Claus Kleber gave another surprise in the last "heute journal" (ZDF) in 2018 – and threw sympathetic Knigge overboard.
Update from January 1, 2019: Claus Kleber did it again! "Heute Journal", ZDF's highly acclaimed flagship, has similar unwritten laws as "Tagesschau": The speakers should stay in the background and present the novelty and their background, but do not make much influence themselves. Absolutely not humorous. But that is exactly what Claus Kleber has repeatedly done on "heute journal" earlier. And now also on Sunday. This time, he was allowed more than ever. Because it was necessary to present a humorous review of the year.
The editor went to the dive for Perlen 2018, announces Claus Kleber, where he returned with a joke in his neck and a little glance in his eyes, Kleber said. It supported with a thick eye of his left eye.
But the oops moment does not follow until the contribution accompanied by fun music ends a few minutes later. Because when Kleber is back in the picture, he gives a big laugh with a fresh "Tadamm!" It may sound like Carnival, but makes this TV legend just more sympathetic. Recently stretched the label to a news format (see below).

Kleber's color word December 30: "See you, if you keep yourself as loyal as we do next year. Could it be good." Gundula Gause adds: "And a peaceful." Kleber can't leave it either: "You is right, "he says, blowing his hand on the table three times.

Claus Kleber becomes musical in the ZDF "heute journal"
Update from December 22, 2018:
Mainz – Claus Kleber is a highly reputed journalist – it really doesn't fit to sing a song in "heute journal". But that's exactly what he has on Friday night, 21.12. done. What happened? "Heute Journal" was a contribution to the end of an era. That of German coal mining. This concluded that the friends together the traditional Steigerlied ("lucky on …") song.
"Heute journal" moderator Claus Kleber buzzes "Glück auf" on TV
When the post ends, glue appears. And: You hear him! How he picks up the song apparently lost in mind. Before taking a deep breath and coming to the next topic.
Didn't Kleber know he's in the air again? Was it a breakdown? Or a tribute full of respect for friends who have been stretched underground for decades? Probably the latter. But it's still open. Either way, it just makes the glue more sympathetic. The scene can be seen here in ZDF-Mediathek from about 2:35 minutes.
Different Twitter users celebrate the action:
A little taken, as Claus Kleber only has the emotionally humming steigermen.

Background: Coal extraction in Germany ended with a ceremony
With the advancement of the last coal, an era of German industrial history ended Friday. "We're here, at Prosper-Haniel, testifying to a historic moment," said Federal President Frank-Walter Steinmeier at the ceremony that marked the end of the German coal industry at the Prosper-Haniel colliery in Bottrop.
Reviersteiger Jürgen Jakubeit had previously given him the last seven kilos of coal from the mine in the Ruhr area. For the miners, this was "a mourning day," Steinmeier said of the emotional final action of the collision pit tower.
At the conclusion of the last coal mine, however, the use of coal in Germany is not over. In the case of power production and in the steel plant, it will in the future be completely replaced by imported coal. How much coal will be used for electricity in the coming years will probably depend on the results of the discussions in the coal commission today. Coal contributed 13 per cent of German power production this year.

Claus Kleber (ZDF): Irritation about tie of "heute journal"
Our article of November 4, 2018:
Mainz – For a few days now, a very special movie has been run in German cinemas. It took him eight years to finally finish the production. We're talking about "Bohemian Rhapsody", a film about the British band Queen and the biography of the shrinking singer Freddie Mercury.
Of course, "Heute Journal" (ZDF) wanted to report on Wednesday last week. "While we are broadcasting, Bohemian Rhapsody, this year's hottest waiting movie, in German cinemas," moderated ZDF presenter Claus Kleber at the end of the show. So far so good. But then the journalist had a hard time with the moderation.
A touch on the ZDF was also the shirt of a cameraman, who was seen in an interview with Wolfgang Schäuble.
Claus Kleber slings his tongue in "heute journal": Queen or Queens?
Kleber is actually one of the most experienced presenters in Germany. However, the 63-year-old does not seem to be a big queen fan because he made an embarrassing mistake twice.
He went on to say that the movie was "about Freddie Mercury, Frontman of Queens." Queens – or rather Queen? Queens is a New York district and has nothing to do with the famous British rock band.
A glide of the tongue? Obviously not, shortly afterwards, Kleber repeated the same mistake: "Actually, a movie can't go wrong playing up and down Queens & Bangers, as long as you have an actor convincing Freddie Mercury."

"Embarrassing": The user rages on Twitter
Of course, the mistake did not go unnoticed by viewers and social networks.

Does Kleber not know QUEEN, or why does he always say "Queens"?
– Jane Columbo (@Queen_Columbo) October 31, 2018
Shortly before the end of the program, the moderator corrected himself: "Of course, Queen. Entall. Unique." So all the spectators hopefully calm down again.
