Günther Jauch, a burglar? In the "New Year's Eve" of "Who wants to be a millionaire?" The Quiz Master has actually admitted having become a minor criminal in foreign countries.
In fact, he would just give Mrs Miriam Blumenreich-Fiegel a little pleasure. But he had to be a criminal for that, Günther Jauch probably wouldn't have expected.
Fan loyalty pays off
The special show "Wer wird Millionär? – New Year's Eve" on Friday night was something very special – also for Jauch. The quiz master was surprised in his own show – by his most loyal fan.
Miriam Blumenreich-Fiegel is 87 years old, NS survivor and living in Israel for many years. However, she does not miss the weekly "WWM" format and writes regular letters to her favorite vendor.
On Friday, she suddenly announced a video message and surprised Jauch, the audience and millions of television viewers with a fun anecdote.
Really, Mr. Jauch?
During his trip to Israel on Pentecost last year, the moderator had something planned: Who so diligently writes letters must also be rewarded. One day Jauch stood in front of Frau Blumenreich-Fiegel's house.
"It was a great thrill," recalls the lady. Why? The garden gate fixed and Jauch stood unannounced in front of a locked door. "So I just climbed over the fence," he told the show about his crime.
A shock to the housekeeper
The 87-year-old didn't seem to know how it happened. "It was shocked to me that Mr. Jauch jumped over the yard with me," she said on Friday.
But she forgave him forever. After all, you will not visit quiz master Günther Jauch every day – and certainly not in Israel. (COS)
