After 25 years, a television era comes to an end today. A goodbye without VIVAsehen.
On New Year's Eve at 14, the cult channel is turned off. In the last show "VIVA Forever – The Show" (from 12 clock), the station will look back on its greatest moments, show highlights and glitches – and the very latest music video for the VIVA story!
VIVA was the 90s, shaped a whole generation. No drive was closer to pubescent teens rides in skates, tamagotchis and watched music videos. And almost no station has produced as many stars as VIVA. A springboard for Oliver Pocher (40), Klaas Heufer-Umlauf (35), Collien Ulmen-Fernandes (37), Gülcan Kamps (36), Mola Adebisi (45), Jan Köppen (35) – and many more.
"We are more than just a TV station, because we are the mouthpiece and your friend," said Heike Makatsch (47) in 1993, when VIVA had just started the operation in Cologne. Makatsch was also the premiere of the first song – "Too Cool For This World" by Fantastic Four. Today's actress – like Stefan Raab (52) – was one of the first VJs on the station, both of which were still completely unknown at the time.
The retrospective of Collien, Mola and Jan is moderated. Over and over, former ex-colleagues and VIVA stars join the show to get back old memories. Also Oli Pocher missed it, planted one last time on the VIVA sofa.
