An Atlanta woman is under fire after she has signed up for Instagram and her son's publications did not have as much "like" as other members of his family.
Did we mention that she did this on her birthday?
Lifestyle blogger Katie Bower has since shelved the publication with her 6-year-old son, Weston, but survives thanks to the magic of the screenshots.
She begins the message as any loving father would, praising her son's "unique personality" and "sweet nature."
Guys, I'll be perfectly honest … Instagram never liked my munchkin and killed me inside. Your photos never had so many tastes. I never received comments. From a statistical point of view, it was not so popular among all.
Bower speculates that his photos "never reached the correct algorithm" and that he was the "baby" for a short time before other siblings appeared.
At the end of the publication, Bower said he published this information because he knows that "someday you will see the numbers and you will have to learn that their value is not in online approval."
Deleted the public view post, but a screenshot appears below.
As expected, many Twitter users thought that Bower's priorities might be a little out of place.
Bower told HuffPost that she only mentioned the numbers because she was saying why she was grateful.
"Weston was the reason why we put on Instagram (we made birth updates!) And at that time, it was my first real platform for public social networks," he said in an email. "I found myself worrying about the approval and the" tastes. "In the last six years I have found that my value is not in those figures and I am grateful for that personal growth".
