With Turkey Day just around the corner, store shelves are already filled with Christmas decorations and retailers across the country are preparing for Black Friday and its variety of liquidation sales.

We also have another long list of new Netflix TV shows, movies and originals that will be going to the broadcast service in December, including some very big releases, and no, I'm not talking about & nbsp;Bride of Chucky, & nbsp;Although that scary movie will arrive next month, a little late for Halloween.

Fortunately, Netflix subscribers have a lot of excellent content to expect. Let's look at some highlights before moving on to the big list of releases.

Undoubtedly, the biggest release of the month is & nbsp;Avengers: the war of infinity& nbsp;(photo above) that lands on Netflix on Christmas day. Seeing Thanos fighting the forces of goodwill on our planet and in galaxies should be a good way to relax after Christmas dinner. It should also make audiences be in the mood for & nbsp;Avengers 4 & nbsp;which is scheduled for a theatrical premiere on May 3, 2019. I liked it & nbsp;War of Infinity & nbsp;much more than & nbsp;Age of Ultron, & nbsp;even though I had some doubts with the movie.

I'm even more excited about the release of the eighth and final season of & nbsp;Voltron: Legendary Defender, & nbsp;although the "final" part is a bit annoying me. All good things must come to an end, but I feel that the program was really coming to the stride in Season 7 and now it is so soon that everything will come to an end. Only 13 episodes remain. If you are not seeing & nbsp;Voltron & nbsp;On Netflix, you really should be. It's fun for children and adults alike.

Another fantastic rate for December includes the 2004 & nbsp;Hellboy (December 1) & nbsp; and the 2009 science fiction drama & nbsp;District 9& nbsp; (December 4th)& nbsp;A clever dystopian film that cuts quite close to the bone.

Perhaps just as exciting, if not more, than & nbsp;Voltron, & nbsp;we have & nbsp; Season 1 of& nbsp;3 Below: Tales from Arcadia& nbsp;that arrives at Netflix on December 21st.& nbsp; This is the second series of Guillermo del Toro's animated project that started with the absolutely wonderful & nbsp;Trollhunters. & Nbsp;We were introduced to the star characters of & nbsp;3 below In the last episodes of that show. I am so excited to see what happens here. Adoré & nbsp;Trollhunters & nbsp;just like my children. This time, instead of trolls we get aliens. It should be clean.

Here is the trailer:

I am also waiting for the 4 part miniseries & nbsp;Sunken ship, & nbsp;Produced by Netflix and the BBC. The animated show includes voice actors such as Sir Ben Kingsley (Gandhi), John Boyega (Star Wars) and many more. I remember that the original adaptation to the film of the excellent book scared me a lot. It is assumed that rabbits are not so twisted. Landing on Netflix on Christmas Day.

To get more comic titles, both & nbsp;Friday& nbsp;and & nbsp;Friday after next& nbsp;hit Netflix on December 1. The hilarious British zombie comedy, & nbsp;Shaun of the dead & nbsp;lands the same day

Meanwhile, & nbsp;Mowgli: The legend of the jungle, & nbsp;a Netflix original that is still pretty close to Disney's live action & nbsp;Book of the jungle, & nbsp;finds its way to the streaming service on December 7. The film was directed by Andy Serkis (Gollum from & nbsp;Lord of the rings, & nbsp;Snoke in the new & nbsp;Star Wars & nbsp;movies, César in & nbsp;Planet of the Apes, & nbsp;and so on) and was originally a Warner Bros. movie scheduled for theatrical release.

However, the rights were sold to Netflix, so we can save a dollar or two and see this from the sofa in the living room. Honestly, I'm not sure what to expect, but I have nothing but admiration for Serkis as a creative. There are a lot of great names attached as voice actors, but I am particularly happy to see & nbsp;Americans & nbsp;the star Mathhew Rhys who was simply outstanding in that show (as was Keri Russell).

Here is the trailer:

I think it looks pretty good — and quite different from & nbsp; The book of the jungle.
