The first full trailer for season two off Marvel's Runaways has landed, picked up just that season one ended when the titular races finally broke away from their parents. Teens find refuge in a cave in Griffith Park, as they dub The Hostel. Meanwhile, their parents gather in a secret camp where they plan to track their missing children.
CEO Stephanie Savage said about the new season: "This year, much more is the cat and the mouse [game] and the two sides come to war. "Savage also discussed the origin of the hostel and said:" It was originally built in the 1920s by a magician. It lived for many years, [but] Maybe sometime in the 60's or 70's there was an earthquake or mudslide that made it uninhabitable. We wanted it to be our gender equality, like Batcave. "
"It's the biggest set that Marvel Television has ever built," said executive producer Josh Schwartz. "When [comic co-creator] Brian K. Vaughan came to the set for the first time, he had tears in his eyes. "
The trailer contains some action scenes of teens fighting their parents, with Nico Minoru saying: "We'll figure out how we use our forces together, like a team." Teamwork seems to be a main theme for the new season, as Runaways must come together to meet Pride. But there may be a mole in the group, as fans of comic books may remember. We must wait and see if the mole story will be the same as in the cartoons.
We see scenes of Karolina bonding with her alien father Jonah and exploring her mysterious rainbow powers, as well as the massive hole in the hill that Pride digged in the final of season one. And we also get a new glimpse of Karolina and Nico's love party, which is sure to satisfy Deanoru-shippers.
We meet a new character, Topher (Jan Luis Castellanos) who also has the power. Topher is a vampire street criminal in the series series, but it is unclear whether he wants to keep these features in the show or not.
The trailer lends itself to one of the most convincing topics in the series, namely children that enchant parents' sins. The series works as a practical parallel to the emergence of politically motivated teens protesting against the corrupt and self-serving policy of the forces that are. Waking teens will save the world, all.
Runaways returns to Hulu December 21st.
