IMDb'S By the numbers has determined the specific number of human deaths in The Walking Dead Through its nine seasons.
As of the sixth episode of Season Nine, the video reports that 475 people died, with only 73 of those deaths caused by walkers.
Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln) holds the record for the most deaths of walkers in an estimated 600+, and is responsible for 72 deaths of people. For future games of Persecution of triviaRick has shouted for the late son Carl Grimes (Chandler Riggs) exactly 128 times.
The former leader of the Savior, Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan), is tilted about 258 times and is credited with more than 230 people killed directly or through a direct order, such as hitting Abraham (Michael Cudlitz) and Glenn ( Steven Yeun) to death with barbed wire The baseball bat wrapped Lucille or commanded the death of several Saviors lined up with traitorous right hand Simon (Steven Ogg), whom Negan also killed with his own hands.
Bowman Daryl (Norman Reedus) has shot down 59 walkers with head shots, while warrior Michonne (Danai Gurira) with her katana has used her trusted sword to perform 85 different walking beheadings.
The Walking Dead Creator Robert Kirkman stated in a number of his comic book series earlier this year that there are only "about 1.6 million" human beings still living around the world; if that number is true for the television series, it is a number that probably has decreased after a six-year time gap that now puts The Walking Dead almost a decade in the apocalypse.
In a 2016 video, using a proportion provided by Kirkman in number 10 of the comics, the proportion of walkers to humans is 5,000 to one. SourceFedNERDMatt Lieberman estimated that 0.0002% of the world population, or only 1.4 million people, was still alive when the outbreak became globalized.
Lieberman determined that the number decreased and fell to less than half a million in the first 600 days of the outbreak, leaving fewer than 400,000 survivors worldwide. For perspective, that's just a little bigger than the estimated population of Cleveland, Ohio.
At the beginning of Season Nine, attention was directed towards the restoration of society, guided by Rick and Michonne of Alexandria. After Rick's "death", Michonne experienced another traumatic event that was revealed at a later date that closed the relationship between the communities.
That undisclosed event caused Michonne to abandon her hopes of starting a new civilization, instead she became a cautious isolationist who puts the children Judith (Cailey Fleming) and R.J. (Antony Azor) first, along with its gated community, home to a few dozen survivors.
The Walking Dead premieres its Season Nine winter finale tonight at 9 / 8c at AMC.
