Marvel has been very stingy with the details of the plot of Avengers 4, which has led some fans to go crazy with the theories about what happens in the film. One theory states that Nick Fury knew much more than he said, and that he actually knew about Thanos and The Snap years before the hunt for the Infinite Stone. Now, a Reddit theorist has taken it much further by saying that everything in the MCU has been preordered as part of Dr. Strange's final game.
A user of Reddit with the name of sfmarch07 published a very long and detailed theory about the role of Nick Fury and Iron Man in Avengers 4. Built from a few other theories, this new speculation of fans delves into the role of Nick Fury in the general MCU, stating that the character of Jackson will have a vision of the future in Captain Marvel, in which you will see Thanos defeating the Avengers and eliminating half of the universe.
According to the speculation, Fury will be shown vital events, characters and all the things that must happen to make sure that the Avengers really defeat Thanos in the only successful outcome that Doctor Strange imagined in Avengers: the war of infinity. It is possible that Dr. Strange is the one who shows Fury this vision in the first place.
This theory is essentially an explanation of how and why things have happened in the MCU in the way they did. He tries to explain why Fury did things like recruiting Tony Stark first and gave him the box of secrets from his father in The Iron Man 2, as well as why he waited until the last minute to call Captain Marvel. Theoretically, it was part of a great design to eventually defeat Thanos.
The other important part of this large-scale theory is that Tony Stark will have to make a great sacrifice in Avengers 4. It has been widely speculated that Avengers 4 It will use the journey in time while the Avengers try to collect the Infinity Stones of the past. That means they will have to take the stone of the soul, which requires sacrifice.
Instead of Pepper Potts or Captain America making such a sacrifice, the theory states that Tony does something completely different: kill his parents. The conjectures indicate that Tony will travel in time to infiltrate Hydra and order the blow to his parents. This would be the "toughest decision any character has ever had to make on the entire MCU," according to the theory, adding that it would add an additional burden to the assaulted Iron Man.
The theories of the fanatics can be very fun to read, and it is amazing to see the wild and different things that people think. Personally, I do not think any of this particular theory happens, especially Tony's part kills his parents. Those are the straight nuts. The idea of Nick Fury is interesting, but it steals a bit of all these films if the Avengers were always strategically prepared to win each battle at the end.
Will Nick Fury be revealed as a great puppet? We will have to wait and see in Avengers 4, which arrives in theaters on May 3, 2019.
