League of Legends has presented its new champion, a vastayano magician called Neeko. She was featured yesterday in a short video published by Riot Games that offers a quick look at their personalities and abilities.
Neeko is shown as a curious, freckled, nature-loving little pixie with the ability of a chameleon to take on the appearance of the things he touches. In the video, she encounters a bull frog with fangs for the first time, and imitates her ability to inflate her throat.
Then we are treated with some images of the game that provide an approximate idea of what he is capable of doing in the Fields of Justice. Apparently, Neeko can take on the appearance of other champions, become temporarily invisible and create illusory clones of herself. Riot has not provided a breakdown so far, but she seems to be a cheat character that relies on skill shots to deal damage.
Dot Esports points to the recently published Neeko Universe History, which describes Neeko as a member of a tribe that communicates through its shape-shifting abilities. During the devastation of his native land, Neeko escaped taking the form of a bird and, finally, he was saved in a boat that was heading towards Harelport.
Despite losing her home and becoming a refugee, her story continues, she has clung to her childish wonder about the world and seeks friends wherever they may be.
"To know Neeko is to love Neeko, and to love Neeko is to love be Neeko ", concludes his story, a bit creepy.
Here is the video:
Dot Esports believes that Neeko will be available to play in approximately two weeks, when patch 8.24 comes out. It seems that she will be an entertaining champion to meet. Or, uh, be.
