The CW launched a new promotion for "Elseworlds", the next Arrowverse crossing for tonight. Supergirl.
This latest promotion is the best aspect so far in the three-night event that will see the world as the heroes know that it was overturned thanks to the machinations of the physician John Deegan (Jeremy Davies) of Arkham Asylum, which we see in action for the first time . In the new promotion. Check it up.
The promotion features Oliver Queen (Stephen Amell) and Barry Allen (Grant Gustin) confronting Deegan and telling him to undo the chaos he caused by making minor adjustments to reality, something he refuses to do. It also seems to suggest that Deegan could have been given the chance to play with reality through a mysterious book by Mar Novu / The Monitor (LaMonica Garrett). The Monitor listens in voice over saying: "I offered you the divinity, now show them what a real god can do", although the way in which things are edited is not clear to whom or to what it is directed.
The promotion also shows John Wesley Shipp with his iconic Flash costume of the nineties, in suit and action, declaring that what was done to his Earth is not going to be done in this case, at least on his watch, although taking into account that Supergirl takes place on the Earth-38 as opposed to the Earth-1 where the Flash and the Arrow transpire, it is also not clear which Earth is in danger.
While this promotion helps to complete a bit about the plot of "Elseworlds" there are still many unknowns. We know that the event will include the live debut of Kate Kane / Batwoman (Ruby Rose), as well as appearances by Clark Kent / Superman (Tyler Hoechlin), Lois Lane (Elizabeth Tulloch) and Nora Fries (Cassandra Jean). Amell).
"The crossing is for the banana," Amell explained during a recent Facebook Live. "It's crazy (…) I think this will be the best crossover event we do, and not only the best, but the best by a really wide margin, and I think last year was fantastic."
"Crisis on Earth X", I think that's what it was called, it was crazy and playing doppelgängers was crazy, "Amell continued. "When Greg Berlanti first spoke to me about why he wanted to make crosses, it was because it was for the fans, so people can see characters and scenarios that combine their favorite things on television or introduce them to new things on television. But you also get this license to do things we could never do in a vacuum, especially in Arrow – that we can never do in the vacuum of our program. "
