The extravagant Halloween costume of this girl definitely puts the "trick" in trick or treating.

Some children can still be wizards, superheroes and Disney characters, but not this child. Maya, a girl from Southbay Village in the Philippines, went viral on social media after the photos and videos of her headless Halloween costume began to circulate online.

Maya's mother, Krystel Hwang, posted an Instagram video of her daughter disguised in a floral dress, carrying her "decapitated" head on a plate. "My super-adorable Maya without a head", Hwang subtitled the video on Instagram with heart-shaped emoji.

So, how did little Maya really pick up her sweets when her hands were busy holding her head on a tray? Hwang published another video in which Maya got a treat in the open neck area of the costume, changing a typical pumpkin basket for a much more macabre option.

Hwang is also telling people that Maya's costume was not bought at the store.

"For those who ask … Yes, I made his headless costume," Hwang wrote in a follow-up post. "Maya has been excited and with a super game with everything, even when I had to wrap it with strips and strips of masking tape to make the fake body.
