The Brooklyn rapper, whose legal name is Daniel Hernandez, was one of four people arrested on charges of extortion and guns, authorities said.

But 6ix9ine also had a series of friction with the police and publicly identified himself as a member of a violent gang in New York, 9 Trey Bloods.

In a superimposed indictment filed Monday in Manhattan federal court, 6ix9ine was charged in connection with what prosecutors described as "Nine Bloods of Trey Gangsta," which they said carried out acts of murder, robbery and drug trafficking in Manhattan, the Bronx and Brooklyn from less 2013

In April, according to the indictment, 6ix9ine and others participated in a robbery at gunpoint of the rivals of the gang.

Then, in mid-July, judicial documents said, the rapper joined three others and agreed to shoot a person who had shown disrespect to the gang members. However, an innocent bystander was shot in the corner of a Brooklyn street as a result of the agreement, according to the indictment.

The young man of 22 years recently. pleaded guilty to disorderly conduct at the Brooklyn Criminal Court in connection with a traffic stop in May.

In a 2015 case in New York, 6ix9ine was sentenced to probation for participating in a sexually explicit video of a 13-year-old girl.

The video, posted on social networks, showed the girl performing a sexual act with another man while 6ix9ine "stands behind the girl doing a push movement with her pelvis and beating her against her buttocks," according to court documents.
