The Walking Dead will conclude the first half of season nine tonight and will finally present The Whisperers on the AMC show.

The creepy group has been teased for weeks, almost years, and it seems that tonight is the time they will make their grand entrance.

Little is known about the new villains, apart from the fact that they hide with the naked eye when using the skin of the walker as a disguise.

A couple of weeks ago they made fun of The Walking Dead when Eugene (played by Josh McDermitt) and Rosita (Christian Serratos) met some walkers who seemed to be talking to each other.

However, a teaser for tonight's episode suggests that the drama of the incoming rival group will intensify.

And now, Jesus' star Tom Payne has suggested that "Evolution" would be one of the "most terrifying" episodes in history.

He shared the trailer of his 885,000 followers on Instagram and added: "It's coming.

"The most spooky episode of The Walking Dead you've seen.

"What awaits us? This Sunday you will discover it, it is terrifying, and amazing, it gives incredible fear."

But will Jesus come out alive this weekend?

It is almost a given that someone will perish at the end of the middle of the season, creating a great drama for the next episodes that are expected to be broadcast around February 2019.

Earlier in the week, The Walking Dead boss Angela Kang suggested that Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) return to the series as a villain.

Negan has been in prison since Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln) allowed him to live after being captured.

However, he has been absent for most of season nine.

And according to Angela, this was necessary to advance more in the plot of the villain.

But fortunately, it will come back very important when season nine returns next year,

She told CinemaBlend:"Negan, and his legacy, is something that really weighs on our characters.

"But I wanted to tell that story through what the others are doing.

"And I think in many ways, having key moments with him this season, those moments are very memorable."

She continued: "Negan definitely has his moments to shine, and he has more to come."

Season nine of The Walking Dead continues tonight at AMC and tonight at 9 pm Monday on FOX in the UK. Seasons 1-8 are available to broadcast on NOW TV.
