VERNON, British Columbia. (AP) – A Canadian rapper died while performing a trick that involved rapping while walking in the wing of an airplane.

The Columbia Colony Service says that Jon James McMurray, 34, died while working with a team that performs videos of airplane stunts and parachuting in that province on Saturday.

McMurray's manager, Ryan Desrochers, says the rapper had trained "intensively" for the trick, but as he moved toward a wing, little Cessna went into a downward spiral. The manager says that McMurray stayed in the wing too long and when he let go he did not have time to open his parachute.

The plane and pilot later landed safely.
