LONDON – The royal wedding of Princess Eugenia and Jack Brooksbank was a great success in terms of British television audience.
ITV said on Saturday that it added approximately 2.1 million viewers during its morning show that showed live coverage of Friday's wedding at Windsor Castle.
ITV was the only U.K. Who showed all the live service from the Chapel of St. George.
The competitors of the BBC and Sky News showed fragments of the wedding and the crowd that crowded the streets of Windsor outside the castle.
The BBC blamed a failure of its voice recognition system by a subtitle that briefly referred to Eugenie's "beautiful breasts" instead of her "beautiful dress" as she climbed the stairs to the chapel.
Eugenie is the granddaughter of Queen Elizabeth II and ninth in the rank of the British throne.
