adminOctober 17, 2018

The battle round continued on Tuesday night on NBC The voice season 15, with coaches. Kelly Clarkson, Jennifer Hudson, Blake Shelton Y Adam Levine gathering artists from their teams to make duos face to face. The winner advances to the knockout round, and the loser can be robbed by another coach. Each coach receives two robberies in this round, as well as the assistance of celebrity mentors. Shelton chose Keith Urban, Clarkson chose Thomas Rhett, Hudson chose Halsey and Levine picked up EEC Green.

The first battle came from the Kelly team. Clarkson paired the only duo of the season, collectively known as OneUp, with Kymberli Joye for a "Mercy" duo of Shawn Mendes. The trio combined well from the beginning, and Rhett encouraged them to take some vocal risks.

In his final performance, the trio delivered beautiful and complex harmonies, bringing something different to the song. They mixed well, although Joye stood out with her powerful voices. Clarkson chose Joye, and the couple was eliminated.

Anthony Arya and Steve Memmolo from Team Adam were the following, singing a slow version of "Amie" from Pure Prairie League. Both artists sounded solid in the rehearsal, but the choice of the song was strange and did not really play with their strengths. They gave a quiet performance, without any of the singers standing out, but they work well together. Levine chose Memmolo, and Hudson hastened to rob Arya.

In a small battle, Tyke James of the Team Adam defeated Jarred Matthew in a duo of Billy Joel "She is always a woman."

The Blake team faced off in a battle of Chris Kroeze and Mercedes Ferreira-Dias, singing "Back in the High Life Again" from Steve Winwood. Urban was impressed by Chris 'tone and agility and the dramatic sound of Ferreira-Dias' voice. They sounded strong in their battle, with the vibrato of Ferreira-Dias cutting the song. But Shelton went with Kroeze, and Ferreira-Dias went home.

Another Battle of the Blake team matched Katrina Cain and Rachel Messer for an emotional duet of "Angel" for Sarah McLachlan. Both had beautiful tones, but Cain was the strongest vocalist. Shelton chose her, and Messer was eliminated.

Natasia Greycloud and Mike Parker of Team Jennifer closed the night with their "Gravity" performance of John Mayer. Halsey encouraged them to be powerful but not too strong. Indeed, both delivered a performance with dynamics. Each one showed the power of the star, so a robbery was inevitable. Hudson chose Parker and Clarkson caught Greycloud, keeping both in the competition.

The Battle Round continues next week The voice.
