CITY OF NEW YORK, N.Y. (WTHR) – The local duo Sugarland is ready to perform at the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade, regardless of the cold weather expected for New York City.
"We are definitely preparing and anticipating ourselves," Jennifer Nettles said during an interview at Eyewitness News at noon. "It's going to be all the layers and all the hand warmers, it's such a fun, iconic and cultural tradition in this country, our holiday season begins, so we will not miss it."
Sugarland has sold almost 10 million albums and won two Grammy awards. The duo of Jennifer Nettles and Kristian Bush would not reveal what song they would play on Thanksgiving just to hint that it would come from their last album "Bigger".
Nettles, a native of Georgia, also spoke about her new family cookbook that was recently launched.
"It's a heart project that my mom and I organized," Nettles said. "It's my family's recipes through the generations until I get to my great grandmother and her pumpkin pie."
"She's a great cook," said Bush of Nettles. "I cook breakfast, that's all I cook.
Bush talked about the new album.
"Bigger is an album that Jennifer and I wrote this year and we released it this year, which is very rare in the music business, what is beautiful for me is that we have not been making music together in 4- When we sat down to do it, we knew exactly what it felt like to look at the world around us, it is an incredible testimony of what our hearts together do, but also of the fans, great fans of Sugarland, who have accepted us. on the radio, on television and in its arenas. "
Nettles said the dates of the tour for 2019 have not yet been established.
