After Ishqiya and Udta Punjab, director Abhishek Chaubey is back with the dacoit drama Sonchiriya. The recorders of the upcoming movie launched their trailer on Monday, and as expected, the incredibly gripping and powerful package.
Sonchiriya grabs eyeballs for his stupendous casting, including Sushant Singh Rajput, Bhumi Pednekar, Ashutosh Rana, Manoj Bajpayee and Ranvir Shorey. It is a rustic and rooted tale set in the valleys of Chambal in the 1970s.

The trailer shows intermediate war between the dacoit groups who are struggling to gain control of central India then. And all this, as the government is challenging their breakdowns. Bhumi, on the other hand, plays a burning woman who can easily choose weapons to save her honor.
The trailer shows Sushant, Ranvir and Manoj as dacoits who fight for control as Ashutosh's character tries to squeeze them down. And in the midst of all this, Sushant's character plans to oppose his group and surrender, in short, rebel.
It's the first time we're going to see Sushant in a rustic avatar. Bhumi also fits her strong character. But it's Ashutosh Rana turning her heads. He certainly reminds us of his 90s films where he played the ruthless antagonist.
Sonchiriya has been shot in the valleys of Madhya Pradesh. Produced by Ronnie Screwvala, it is slated to release on February 8th.
