Five years after ending his relationship, the legal battle between Sofia Vergara and Nick Loeb for embryos fertilized as they were a couple between 2009 and 2013. The 43-year-old businessman presented the first complaint against the actor, 46, nearly four years before the Louisiana courts.
Now, Loeb said he lives in the southern state, a territory where the laws defend the pro-life movement, and lawyers from the Colombians asked the judge to demand evidence of his residence.
According to documents presented by Nick Loeb earlier this year, he lives in Plaquemines Parish, an area in the state of Louisiana where embryos are recognized as fertilized people. Vergara confirms that her former wife did not provide any convincing evidence that certifies this residence, which is fundamental to this case, as only one citizen could present the complaint in that state.
