It has been confirmed that Martin Scorsese and Leonardo DiCaprio will meet to present David Grann's bestselling book. Killers of the moon flower to the big screen, with Scorsese behind the lens and DiCaprio in the lead role.
Located in the 1920s in Oklahoma, Killers of the moon flower tells the true story of the murders of members of the Osage Nation, then the richest people per capita in the world due to the oil that lies beneath their lands, and the investigation of the newly formed FBI about the murders.
The film will begin production next summer, with a screenplay by Eric Roth, whose other credits include A star has been born, The inside Y Forrest Gump.
"When I read David Grann's book, I started seeing it immediately, the people, the scenarios, the action, and I knew I had to turn it into a movie," Scorsese said.
"I am very excited to work with Eric Roth and meet with Leo DiCaprio to bring this truly disturbing American story to the screen."
Scorsese and DiCaprio worked together on the short film. The audition, and the features The wolf of Wall Street, Shutter Island, The dead people, The Aviator Y New York Bands.
Scorsese is one of the producers in Killers of the moon flower, as is the producer of DiCaprio, Appian Way.
