"I just think they're losers, I do not like them, how do I explain the fact that I got the GQ Man of the Year award and that no women's magazine or any women's organization supported me?"
Rose McGowan has been at the forefront of the #MeToo movement since it was introduced a year ago with allegations that Harvey Weinstein raped her. But now, she says that the movement is "nonsense", which tells the U.K. Sunday Times Magazine that she feels without the support of women's groups and others in the industry.
"I just think they're assholes," he said. "They're not champions, I just think they're losers, I do not like them, how do I explain the fact that I got a GQ The Man of the Year award and no women's magazine and no women's organization have supported me?
McGowan also said she has been excluded from what the story calls "#MeToo" campaign lunches and "survivor lunches."
"And I do not want to go, because everything is nonsense," he said. "It's a lie, it's a lie to make them feel better, I know these people, I know they have liver lilies, and as long as it looks good on the surface, it's enough for them."
McGowan also states that it is "literally impossible" for Meryl Streep not to know about Weinstein's alleged behavior before the claims were made public, as Streep claimed; Nor does he believe that Hillary Clinton, whom Weinstein supported and with whom he was friendly, did not know.
"I would like to recover my years of support [if I could]"McGowan said of Clinton." Vociferous support. Even against Obama, I supported her. "Asked jokingly if she had ever run for office, McGowan answered seriously:" Yes. And I would run as a Republican. Only to fuck him. Only to blow the minds of the people. "
McGowan also said that she does not believe that Weinstein's estranged wife, Georgina Chapman, also did not know about his alleged behavior, saying that fashion he must be "embarrassed" and "ashamed" to print an interview with the fashion designer in which he claims not to have known.
While not a fan of President Donald Trump, McGowan said he agrees with him and his supporters on one thing: "They hate Hollywood for being false liberals, and they're absolutely right about it. It's a bunch of fake liberals. shit, and they know it's very low, but they're living an empty life, and for me that's their punishment, they get to live the life they live. "
McGowan, who says he has no intention of acting more, also said he chose not to have children to face Weinstein: "I could not do that with a child, it would be too dangerous."
McGowan also said he wants Weinstein to get "life in prison for all the lives he stole, and maybe then I'll have forgiveness, but not until then."
