Archie andrews (KJ Apa) is officially on the run.
Surely he has been freed and is no longer in progress from the law, but he is still on his way out of the city for fear of HiramMark Consuelos) and his different arrangements to take down this one poor redhead youth girl. With Jughead (Cole Sprouse) by his side, he called and broke with Veronica (Camila Mendes) and then took off the train tracks. Remember when these kids were at school and tried to decide between music and football? There were times!
Of course, Archie's decision to leave for everyone else's safety, because that's how Archie makes decisions, so it's not as if he and Veronica are over. KJ Apa said so much then E! News visited the Vancouver set.
"I think Archie is in Riverdale setters [Veronica] at risk because of everything, with hiram and things like that. I think Archie is in Riverdale kind of putting many people at risk; but most of all, Veronica puts danger, "he said. However, being the reason they have to share ways means there is still something there. You know what I mean? They did not share roads because someone did something. "
Part of that danger can be very justified because Consuelos says he really liked Archie wherever he was and this new development is not good.
"I think he does not like the fact that Archie is on the move and does not know exactly where he is. It's a loose end that he needs to tighten up."
Archie and Jughead, friends forever
For Archie and Jugead, this is a bit of a return to friendship that has not been prominent for a long time (for many reasons), and Sprouse says it leads to a "very fun episode" reminiscent of the third episode of season two , "Tales from the Darkside."
"It's the same type of box for this," says Sprouse. "It's really an Archie-Jughead story, which is quite rare, so you get a lot of episodes. It's really just Archie and Jughead for a little while and it's a lot of fun and they're on lamb and they run away kind of Stand by me. It's very funny. "
"Finally, they end up being in the shape of fork on the road, they have to go their own roads at some point," said Apa. Sprouse could not elaborate on what breaks them up, but it seems that it might have something to do with Jughead's daddy.
"It's a final reaction and it leads to a reunion," Skeet Ulrich said about the FP's reaction to Jughead and Archie to roll away.
Archie In Trouble
That way, Apa tells that he has also spent a lot of scenes alone, out on the road, wobbling and "just a little chilling" while he is angry with the world to get into this position.
"Many of it is solo, which has been good, it has been very cool," he says. "It has been fun. It's been a lot of fun because when you are yourself, it's very strange with you because you do not have anyone else to talk to. It's funny, but at the same time, I miss kinds of scenes with guys and things. But you know, it does not last. He can not be isolated forever, but I've enjoyed it. "
When he returns, Apa says that Archie will feel that the school is a bit "ridiculous" compared to what he has just been through and "we see him turning to other options that are not good."
This leads to a "big share" among the group, where Archie "is just sprouting into a dark kind of place, but is saved by a person and by music."
Betty Locked Up
Meanwhile, Betty (Lili Reinhart) used the whole episode to do some serious investigations of what the hell happens in this city and reveal things like the fact that Dilton's father had an affair with Penelope and ended up being assassinated, but then Gargoyle King came up in her house. It was a big tribute to Yell with Jiffypop warming up on the stove and Skeet Ulrich climbs through the window, but Alice scared so much that she and Polly are on their way to the farm to stay.
She knew that Betty would not join them, so she had committed to the sisters with mercy, so she would be "safe". Unfortunately, "safe" is not exactly a word we will use for that site regularly, and especially when the entire art class paints pictures of the Gargoyle King.
With Jughead on the road with Archie, it does not sound like he plays a lot of a role in getting Betty out of the monastery.
"We're touching it a bit, but a bit further into the season," Sprouse says. "It's affected quite a lot."
Gryphons & Gargoyles & Seizures
It was only the last episode when Jughead could barely work normally because he was so consumed with Gryphons and Gargoyles, but it seems that dad chained him to the fridge, the spelling could have been broken.
"I think FP chained him to the fridge really did something good," he said. "I think he's breaking it a bit … When he goes with Archie, [the obsession] is pretty much gone. "
Gryphons and Gargoyles and Gargoyle King and the possibly related attacks were everywhere this evening. Joaquin (Rob Raco) ended up with the symbol of "victims" (the same mark on Archie) carved into the pan. Josie (Ashleigh Murray) had an attack while the Sheriff threatened his class over giving up Archie's placement, and of course, Betty was caught in a monastery full of players.
Ashleigh Murray says the attacks are still a mystery for her, which means we have to wait a long time before the part of the G & G network is being explained.
"I do not even really understand how the attacks happen or why," Murray says. "I'm unsure if the severity of her attack could have affected her memory of it. I do not know but it's scary I still do not understand and I'm not quite sure if that's something she's going to solve. nothing we've touched yet, so I do not know. "
So this is what we know: Archie and Jughead are going to have fun before Archies left alone, Archie and Veronica still have a chance, Betti's predicament is still a mystery that is "touched" and not even the people on the show understand what happens with the attacks. And it hardly even covers 40,000 things that happened this evening's episode! Is anyone else very, very tired ??
Riverdale Airs Wednesdays at 8 o'clock on CW.
