Randy Orton has unmasked REY MYSTERIO on live television and Charlotte Flair was fined £ 80,000 for attacking Ronda Rousey in Survivor Series.
The new WWE champion, Daniel Bryan, also had a lot to respond to after his low blow at AJ Styles. Here are five things we learned from the SmackDown LIVE edition of the previous night.
Randy Orton has unmasked Rey Mysterio
The Viper became one of the few superstars that really took Rey Mysterio's mask off (many have tried it) in what became a brutal scene.
While both fought one against one, Mysterio tried to slide under the lower rope, but Orton reversed it with a fast RKO like a bolt of lightning on the outside.
Back in the ring, Orton pulled Rey's mask and hit another RKO for victory.
Orton dragged Mysterio outside, wrapped a chair around his neck and threw it at the ring post, snatching Rey's mask in the process.
WWE was careful not to expose Rey's face. Even the medical staff seemed more concerned about covering his head than actually treating him.
It was an excellent angle. Orton is clearly strengthened by playing this vicious high-heeled character, it's the most interesting thing he's been for years.
Charlotte has been fined $ 100,000 for attacking Ronda Rousey
Charlotte Flair opened the program explaining her actions in Survivor Series: she did it "for the champion" Becky Lynch and now she is ready for the next movement of Ronda Rousey.
She said she has spent half her career fighting with or against Becky, but on Sunday she fought for Becky.
(WWE has forgotten the deeply personal fight of Charlotte and Becky a few weeks ago, but it does not matter when the stories are so fashionable).
Paige interrupted him and told Charlotte that by imposing five arbitrators on Survivor Series, she will be fined $ 100,000.
It's easy to forget that Charlotte was the hottest heel in the business two years ago. A hundred of the big ones is a small price to pay for "The Queen" to come back again.
Charlotte then crashed into the two IIconics in singles matches in a row, trapping Billie Kay and going to a DQ with Peyton Royce when Kay returned to action.
He ended up with Charlotte placing them both outside and standing triumphantly at the ad counter. The queen reigns once more.
Daniel Bryan has been reborn
Bryan went on to explain why he turned to AJ Styles in his WWE title match last week.
(There are many wrestlers explaining in WWE at this time, Dean Ambrose, Charlotte and Bryan are in that).
He said he had betrayed his dreams three years ago when he had to quit due to an injury, and that the fans had not seen his fight to get back into action.
Bryan said that sitting in a hyperbaric chamber to accelerate the healing process had changed him, and last week, when Styles exploded, his dreams had taken hold of him.
The character of Bryan seems to have completely changed, even from Survivor Series: the arrogant heel has been replaced by a deranged and wild-eyed rascal that refers to himself in the third person. Who do you think you are, the rock?
He claimed that old Bryan and the Movement Yes are dead: all that was left of him was destroyed by Brock Lesnar and the "new Daniel Bryan" has emerged.
Bryan will now defend the WWE Championship against AJ Styles in TLC on December 16.
Shane McMahon and The Miz are the "best team in the world" (well, not at all)
Shane appeared on Miz TV, which saw Miz quarrel with Shane for his performance in Survivor Series (at least someone enjoyed it) and for their combined efforts to win the World Cup in Crown Jewel.
After Miz won the quarterfinals and semifinals and Shane took his place in the final, Miz said they were two-thirds and one-third "best in the world," respectively.
Then, Miz asked Shane to join him to create the "best team in the world" and face the local competitors, the Bryants.
Miz easily beat his opponent Dane Bryant and made a mockery of scoring in Shane. But during the showboating, Dane caught Miz in a small package for an annoying victory.
The humiliated Miz begged Shane later. The question is, what history has WWE planned for Miz and Shane?
The New Day thanks the defeat of The Bar
The New Day took over The Bar and Big Show at a Thanksgiving party: essentially a six-man bout with food tables on either side of the ring.
As longtime fans know, Vince McMahon loves a food fight and that's exactly what he became.
Both Big Show and Sheamus collided with the food tables and The New Day, dressed as a pilgrim, got the victory after Big E nailed Sheamus with a roast turkey.
They proceeded to batter Cesaro with cranberry sauce, mashed potatoes and other banquet foods.
AJ Styles is negotiating fewer dates with WWE with an agreement that will end in April
