Simmba had a great start at the ticket office. The film collected Rs 20.72 crore on the opening day. The high-quality action movie was just as good at performing in the international arena. In a separate tweet, Taran Adarsh revealed that the movie was able to collect Rs 13.14 crore worldwide, and that it is key markets, including the US, UK, Canada, UAE and Australia.

Simmbaopened for largely average reviews. In his review for NDTV, film critic Saibal Chatterjee gave the film two stars out of five and wrote: "Simmba is the type of film that avoids toxic masculinity, while the pristine celebrates unfortunate virility as a necessary part of law enforcement. "
