While greeting the supporters of the Sydney Opera House on the first day of their royal tour in Australia, they met a 98-year-old woman called Daphne Dunne, whom Harry had met during his 2015 and 2017 visits to Australia.

The Duke of Sussex greeted Dunne with a warm hug. He then told her that he had heard the "good news" about Meghan's pregnancy that morning, and Harry invited his wife to pass so that the two could meet.

Of course, the Duchess of Sussex was happy to oblige. He knelt down to meet Dunne and took her hands. Then he asked how the real admirer was and said it was "very nice" to meet her. Dunne also congratulated the royalty for her pregnancy.

"Thank you!" Meghan replied. "What an exciting moment, yes, I've been very happy."

Dunne said the news was "wonderful" and "just what Harry needs."

The prince proceeded to congratulate Dunne on his shoes, noting that his shoes were "very good". Meghan also said she saw the Harry and Dunne photos of her last two visits and said they were "very sweet".

Clearly excited to see the duke, Dunne fondly stroked Harry's cheek, guiding the future father to let out a light giggle. He also asked if he liked his new dodo, which the prince had noticed had been dyed pink.

"I'm so happy to finally meet you," Meghan added. "I've heard a lot about you, all good things."

Dunne then said: "I think it's wonderful that you two."

"This is what caught my attention," Harry told his wife, who thanked Dunne for waiting to see them.

Before saying goodbye, Dunne received a kiss on the cheek and a gentle handshake from both members of royalty. He also gave the couple a card, which Meghan described as "fantastic."

"And I hope the next time we see you we'll have our little one with us," the duchess added as Dunne gently stroked her hair.
