In the first two episodes of The flash Season 5, Cicada was just a mysterious figure that carried a magic bolt. But now, after The flash season 5 episode 3, "The Death of Vibe", there are more clues regarding their powers, motives and identity. This summary contains spoilers.
Who is the cicada?
Team Flash learns that the civil name of Cicada is Orlan. Orlan (played by Chris Klein) is a father of a daughter who is extremely ill and seems to be in a coma. "She's not coming out of that," a nurse tells Orlan in the hospital room.
The nurse also asks about Orlan's own injury. Your lung does not look good. It lights up in orange and looks worse than in a previous scene (Cicada weakens after he uses his powers in the battle against Vibe). The nurse asks him to give up whatever he is doing. "Not until it's over," says Orlan standing over his daughter.
To make matters worse, Nora informs the crew that Team Flash, Green Arrow, Supergirl and the Legends failed to catch Cicada in their future timeline. He is one of the most dangerous serial killers in history. Since Nora ruined the timeline, Cicada is surprising decades earlier than is supposed.
Why did Cicada focus first on Vibe? If it were not for Nora, Vibe would have died. She hastened to save him at the last moment by creating a breach, and was smart enough to leave behind Vibe's suit, which is why Cicada believes he is dead.
Where is Caitlin's father?
Caitlin and Ralph investigate the falsified death certificate of Caitlin's father and find some answers. Caitlin deciphers a hidden code inside a custom element table that says: "come and get me". As he discovers the code, a mysterious and somber figure hides looking at the security cameras from above. At this time, it seems that Caitlin's father was not in his right mind when he "died". Is that person floating above related to Caitlin, Cicada or both?
What is Nora's retention?
Team Flash recruits a new French version of Harrison Wells, which approaches Sherlock, to help solve the mystery of the cicada. very I suspect Nora's journey through time. He asks her specifically if someone from the future influenced her decision to travel in decades ago to see her father before he gets lost in a "crisis".
Either Wells worries that Nora has more to do with Cicada than she is leading, or is simply calling her bluff because she can (curb your ego, Sherlock). The expression on both faces after Wells confronted Nora definitely suggested that something was wrong.
It could be as simple as Nora having a twin brother who urged her to come (in those delusions of last year's speed force, Barry muttered about twins), or it could be that Nora is under the influence of some villain. If your intentions are bad, we can not rule out that you may be inventing things, exaggerating or retaining things from the team. Those future videos that show Barry about the "crisis" could be totally false.
-Wells says that David Hersch is the identity of Cicada in all the other lands and has solved this case correctly 37 times. Hersch is also the name of Cicada in comics.
– Nora made reference to the League, as in the Justice League?
Why did Wells fake his death to avoid giving a refund to Team Flash?
-Although, apparently, the cicada can fly, this villain reveals that the formula is aging.
-Nora is moving with her parents!
-The promotion for the next episode shows the real reason why Nora does not like her mother.
