Miller, who claimed to have seen an earlier version of the script, explained that Mr. Big, whose real name is John James Preston, dies "relatively early" from a heart attack.
While the spoiler is a shock to many devoted fans, Mr. Big previously had a "routine" cardiac procedure in season 6 in which Carrie, played by Sarah Jessica Parker, was by her side throughout the recovery process .
However, Carrie as a widow is something that viewers will never see. In fact, it's supposedly one of the reasons why Kim Cattrall, who played with Samantha Jones, was not on board for Sex in the city 3.
"People close to Kim think the script did not have much to offer Samantha's character," Miller said during the episode.
"They point to the fact that he demands that Mr. Big die from a heart attack in the shower, relatively early in the movie, making the rest of the movie more about how Carrie recovers from Big's death than about the relationship between Four women, "explained Miller.
As for how Noth, 64, felt about the death of his character, he did not have the opportunity to read the script, but during the podcast, he told Miller that he heard he was "superior" to the other films.

Noth continued revealing that he did not like the first two films, and explained that they did not match the humor or harshness of the HBO series.
"I really hate corny things and it could be because I'm a bit cynical," Noth said during the interview.
"Like, everything at the end of the movie in the shoe closet, I hated it," the actor said of a scene from the first movie, moments before Big and Carrie got married.

"I hated the thing at the end of the movie after I felt he cheated on me and then I said, 'Well, it's time I gave you a bigger diamond ring.' I hated it. "I just hate corn balls, and I thought he was really sentimental and too romantic without any realism," Noth added.
However, the actor admitted that he would still have been on board for a final film.
