Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth are making a generous donation after their own house in Malibu caught fire due to the devastating explosion of Woolsey Fire in California.

In a statement to ET on Tuesday, the Cyrus representative announced the donation, which will be made through the Happy Hippie Foundation of Cyrus, which focuses on the lack of housing for young people, especially among LGBTQ youth, and other populations vulnerable.

"Miley and Liam lost their home but they are very grateful to be safe with their animals!" the statement says. "Their community and their state are very special to them and they want to give back the place that has created so many beautiful memories for them and for others." They are donating $ 500,000 to The Malibu Foundation through Miley's charity, Happy Hippie, with the Hope to recover The magic of Malibu ".

"These funds will be used for those with financial needs, emergency assistance, community reconstruction, forest fire prevention and resistance to climate change," the statement continues. "Those who seek to get involved in their time, support and donations are very much appreciated."

On Tuesday, Hemsworth also tweeted a shocking photo of what was his home in Malibu with Cyrus, which has now been reduced to rubble. However, he noticed that the letters that read "love" were still intact.

"They have been heartbreaking days," Hemsworth shared. "This is what's left of my house … Love. Many people in Malibu and the surrounding areas in California have also lost their homes and my heart is with everyone affected by these fires." On Sunday, Cyrus also tweeted about the Woolsey fire, expressing gratitude for the fact that both Hemsworth and his animals were fine, even though their home was missing.

"Completely devastated by fires that affect my community," he wrote. "I am one of the lucky ones, my animals and LOVE OF MY LIFE achieved it safely and that is all that matters now."

"My house is no longer maintained, but the memories shared with family and friends are strong," he continued. "I am grateful for all that I have left, sending so much love and gratitude to the fire department and the Los Angeles Sheriff's Department!"
