Meghan Markle in Fiji wearing a Zimmermann dress that fought against the rain – Shoe news

Meghan Markle was a vision on White Tuesday (15 hours before New York City) when she arrived in Suva, Fiji, on the Pacific leg of her actual tour.

The Duchess of Sussex and Prince Harry were greeted by a welcome ceremony on the asphalt, and dressed elegantly for the occasion: Mother Nature's compassion did not cooperate. The manipulators came prepared with umbrellas to protect the duchess from the rain, but there was nothing to tame the red carpet, which fluttered in the wind.

The ceremony, known as Veirqaraqaravi Vakavanua, represents the identity and cultural heritage of Fiji, and will reflect in a format that was attended by The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh in 1953. It will involve a number of traditional elements of Fijian culture, including The presentation of the Tabua, and a Kava ceremony. A traditional dance, known as the Meke, will also be performed by members of the village of Nakelo.

Markle looked elegant in a white Zimmermann long-sleeved dress that cut below the knee, combining it with a matching fascinator. Completing the outfit was a pair of black Tabitha Simmons pumps that matched his clutch.

The suede Millie sandals feature a pointy toe and a bow-shaped ornament on a 3.5-inch heel. The shoes sell for $ 695.

On the itinerary, the couple will meet with the president of Fiji and enjoy a state dinner, as well as observe a traditional dance.
