Kim Kardashian is doing everything possible to support Kanye West, but her public comments are negatively affecting the mother of three children.
"Kim feels very uncomfortable and unhappy with the whole situation," says a PEOPLE source about the creator of Kimoji, who shares daughters North, 5 and Chicago, 8 months, and his son Saint, 2½, with West.
"She finds Kanye brilliant, so she gets angry when he takes these public comments and introduces himself as someone who is not well," says the source.
On Thursday afternoon, during a meeting with Donald Trump in the Oval Office, West, who avidly supports and voted for the president in the 2016 elections, said during a lengthy televised discussion that he was "misdiagnosed" with bipolar disorder. (The rapper, 41, also recently revealed that he is "without medication" that he had previously been taking to treat the disorder).
During the meeting, the couple discussed numerous issues, including the Kardashians, Hillary Clinton's election campaign in 2016 and racism.
"It's stressful for her, she knows she's not healthy right now, but it's impossible to tell her," says the source of Kardashian West, 37. "All she can do is wait for him to calm down mentally soon."
But Kardashian West, who married the musician in May 2014, is not the only one who expects her husband to get the help he needs, his famous family as well.
Adds the source: "Kim's family thinks they need help, but Kanye does not need it, so it will not happen."

Since West revealed that he is no longer taking his medication, people in his inner circle have been "telling him he needs to take his medication again, that it is not going well, that it does not make any sense," an informant told PEOPLE. . earlier this week.
Despite their attempts to pass, those close to West feel that their concerns are falling on deaf ears, in part because of their relationship with the president.
"Nobody close to him can tell him that he sounds crazy," the source said, "because his answer is that the president of the United States does not think so."
And although the Kardashians have been an unshakeable support system for him, the source said that "the whole family is at the end of their ropes, and things like these will not help."
"They are trying to help him get things where they should be, and now it will be much more difficult," the source added. "It's a sad day."
