Crack in the healing world: The allround completed his Christmas show without "Flori", but also without a new friend. She had fun with other men.
Christmas and Helene Fischer, in the German-speaking culture for eight years now, are as fast together as Donald Trump and his tweets. Hence the German Mutitalent and his Mammoth show are much more contemplative than the usual Twitter rants of the US president.
In fact, everything was the same at the 2018 edition. Helene jaded, sang, danced, performed and acted skilfully through her show, high in the air, in front of film screens and in historical sets, once even over the hooves of two nagging dinosaurs. And while the latter was an impressive premiere, it would have been possible to play great bullshit bingo again with terms such as "heart", "heart", "heart", "thank you", "luck" and "love".
Tears for Flori
But then there comes a moment where for the first time cracks occur in the healing Helene world. "I think everyone knows how it feels when a lifelong dream bursts," says the singer after exactly two hours and 43 minutes with a sad look at the camera. The voice seems fragile, the tears seem close. And yet she gathers and sings boldly her song "Give me your hand".
"I don't want to cry, you're gone," Helene Fischer sings in the text, among other things. And who knows a little about the Helene world – oh what: in the world at all – knows who these words are addressed to. "Thank you," she says quietly for the last sound when the camera catches her sad face in dim light.
Now the last and last thing is clear: Yes, it was for "Flori", as we now know, ex-girlfriend Florian Silbereisen, which she actually goes her own way after ten years of perfect love affairs. That the split at the time of show recordings is not official does not matter. Apparently, even in the healing Helene world, separations do not always go completely linear.
Funny with new men
Of course, there was always doubt about the perfect love between the two star stars. And they have not only diminished with the most perfect of all separations in recent days. But after all, Fischer behaved in his big show that one would trust a new superstar: She let it crack.
With the half-sacked Swiss singer Luca Hänni, she whirled around in a large bed in uninhibited gymnastics, which seemed almost embarrassing at the end of the performance (Fischer: "It was a great pleasure, even though it was very intimate"), and then she had fun with other men too: she loved to race at Eros Ramazzotti, Luis Fonsi or Olaf Schubert as unrestrained as always ("I can hardly keep up with you"), with actor and vocalist Florian David Fitz treated her to a duet that also a whiskey (Fischer: "What do you think, we're not making ice cream here!"), she was made to float by the magician Farid – and she was "just blinked" by singing Hollywood star Kiefer Sutherland.
Finals with Paola
And what did Helene New say that was officially involved with another at that time? Well, the dancer Thomas Seitel was not even there for private reasons in Düsseldorf, which prevented the most exciting duet in the evening on one side, but left the showmaster as freed as on the other.
Either way, the three hours of "Helene Fischer Show 2018" were extremely entertaining and perhaps a little less authentic than many years earlier. The "wonderful, beautiful Paola" (recording by Helene Fischer) also contributed to this, when she again performed her hit "Blue Bayou" on the occasion of her 40th anniversary, with Fischer and her now also 68 years gave a superb figure.
"You're the firm star of the show heaven for me," the Swiss praised his German superstar colleague. And that this will remain for a while even without Florian Silbereisen, is as safe as next Christmas with Helene Fischer after yesterday's show.
"Helene Fischer Show" was broadcast on SRF 1 at 8:05 on Tuesday, December 25th. With Swisscom TV Replay you can watch the program up to seven days after the broadcast.
