Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson has criticized "Snowflake Generation" for "looking for reasons to be offended".

While praising the current climate to allow people to "be as they please," the 46-year-old actor said that a certain sector of society "actually puts us back".

"I don't have to agree with what anyone thinks, who they vote for, what they voted for, what they believe, but I want to return their right to say or believe it. It's democracy," Johnson says. The Daily Star.

"So many good people fought for freedom and equality – but this generation is looking for a reason to be offended.

"If you do not agree with them, they will be offended – and that is not what so many good men and women fought for."

He added, "Fortunately, we are now living in a world that has evolved over the past 30 or 40 years. People can be as they please, be with whom they want, and live their way.

"It may just be a good thing – but generation snowflake or whatever you want to call them, actually puts us back."

It was recently outrageous over reports that Johnson was paid £ 10m ($ 13m) more than his co-stars Emily Blunt for Disney's Jungle Cruise.

Johnson's frequent co-star, Kevin Hart, has also recently been criticized online for homophobic tweets dating back nearly a decade. Hart later went down to host the Oscar.
