Tinashe time in Dancing with the stars It has come to an end.
When the series of reality dance contests returned for their fourth week of competition on Monday night, the duos of professional and celebrity dancers were paired with a celebrity or DWTS Alum by his Trio Night number.
Tinashe, 25, and professional partner Brandon Armstrong partnered with DWTS Amy Purdy, student, during week four, when they performed a tango and obtained 26/30 of the judges.
Despite her solid score, it was not enough to keep the singer in the competition.
In the summary of the episode, co-hosts Tom Bergeron and Erin Andrews announced that two couples from season 27 were in danger: Evanna Lynch and Keo Motsepe, and Tinashe and Armstrong.
"Evanna and Keo, Tinashe and Brandon, in this fourth week of competition, the couple that leaves is: Tinashe and Brandon," said Bergeron, who was greeted by boos and surprised the exclamations of the audience.
"Brandon, you actually said it in the package," Bergeron said. "Sometimes the best dancers go."
Armstrong said that "it has to be a complete package" to move forward week by week.
Last week, the couple received the highest score of the season (27/30), but faced a danger. "I never want to be in that position again," Tinashe said in her essay video pack in Monday's episode.
When Armstrong asked Tinashe during practice how she felt in danger, she admitted: "It's like having mixed feelings, right, because we got our highest score so far."
Armstrong reminded him: "Many times, the best dancers are the ones who go home as soon as possible."
"High scores alone will not keep us in this competition," he said. "I really hope I can show people a different side of us this week."
Although the pair was eliminated, Armstrong praised his partner before they made their last reverence on center stage: "I'm very proud of Tinashe, he made it incredible this season."
"Brandon did something incredible," added the singer, who highlighted his first season as DWTS Pro. "Thanks guys!"
Dancing with the stars It airs on Mondays (8 p.m. ET) on ABC.
