"Criminal Minds": The Sat.1 series ends after season 15

On Thursday night, Sat.1 sent the episode "Words from the Tomb" – mummified corpses are discovered during renovation in a house. One case for BAU, the FBI's Behavioral Analysis Unit that examines the US – their case is the television series Criminal Minds. A market share of 8.2 per cent in the target group of 14 to 49-year-olds was certainly not a dream value, but at least pretty much in the station's average.

"Criminal Minds" has been running in the German private broadcasting program since 2006. Since 2012, the series has its permanent place on Sat.1 on Thursday night. Market shares in the target group were, for a long time, double-digit. The episodes of the 14th season are currently being sent – but now the investigation is over.

As the US "Variety" certification, the US broadcaster CBS, in whose program "Criminal Minds" has been broadcast since 2005, commissioned a 10-year-15 season – but at the same time announced that this is the last season series will be.

Even in the United States, "Criminal Minds" will no longer become spectators at weddings (in 2014/15 it averaged over 14 million, last barely 10). In addition, the actor Thomas Gibson was kicked in 2016 after a violent battle with a producer. Recently, there were accusations against the chief executive of the camera crew, who should have been sexually assaulted crew members.
