It was one of the year's excitement topics: After months of back and forth, the actual scheduled concert of Ed Sheeran had to be canceled in the planned open space at Messeparkplatz P1.

That Düsseldorf as a place does not have to hide from its favorite bird Cologne – no doubt! A first league football league, ice hockey is better – and neither are there two opinions about the beauty of the city either.

And yet, many enchanting fans are envious. Because the big and international stars on the music scene avoid Dusseldorf and prefer to go back to nearby cities.
The USA megastar Pink also comes to the Cologne stadium as British band Muse – and Phil Collins even on two nights. And Lanxess Arena is also very well visited: Andrea Berg, Cher, David Garrett, Mario Barth, The Fantastic Four, Rod Stewart, George Ezra, Michael Bublé, Mumford & Son and Udo Lindenberg – just to name a few.

They all have many fans in the state capital.
D.Live CEO Michael Brill had already speculated in the summer, immediately after the decision against "Open Air Park", that a cancellation with such effects would endure permanent damage at the event site Dusseldorf.
He seems to have come in now. For Arena Gelsenkirchen – who had the "dust" concert of Ed Sheeran already in the summer of 2019 – has much to offer: Rammstein comes on two nights, as well as Herbert Grönemeyer and Andreas Gabalier.
At least we have the good football …
