This is a scary fact: scaring people is one of Ellen DeGeneres' favorite pastimes.
He has given his guests, including Sterling K. Brown, Sean "Diddy" Combs and the cast of "Modern Family", a reason to jump out of their seats again and again.
And Halloween presents the joker another chance to instill fear into the hearts of his famous friends in the form of a haunted house.
In fact, DeGeneres has an annual tradition of sending its not-so-courageous executive producer, Andy Lassner (also known as "average Andy"), to one of Halloween's many Horror Nights venues at Universal Studios. And this year, she teamed up with Chrissy Teigen for the occasion.
The couple set out to tour Purge Maze, an attraction based on the Universal movie "The First Purge."
And while the presenter was pointing the clip, she said: "I would like to say that Andy was really brave, but that would be a total lie."
Do not worry there, as he had Teigen at his side to comfort him and scream (and curse) right by his side.
Oh, and the model, cookbook author and mom also did something else: she acted as Lassner's human shield.
While the tormented cast members (disguised as mannequins, marauders and assassins) rushed the duo, Lassner pulled Teigen out in front of him and moved on, clinging to the moments on the road.
When it was over, Teigen was left with a stitch on his side, a common condition after screaming and laughing for five minutes in a row.
And "Andy means"? After one last house jump after the chase, he declared that he was happy to have everything behind him.
"I've never been happier for nothing!" he assured Teigen.
