Law Firm in Los Angeles, USA, confirmed that rapper Chris Brown was charged last week with two counts of his possession of a Capuchin monkey without authorization.
Ex-girlfriend of singer Rihanna gave a monkey to her daughter last year. When he published the gift he gave to the little Royalty, many animal protectors criticized him. The singer did not know that he needed special permission to have it.
On Instagram he shared a video in which he sees his three-year-old daughter, hugging her pet, called Fiji.
California fishing and wildlife members confiscated the monkey shortly after. The singer was not at home when this happened, it was his staff who delivered the monkey in a cage. Fiji is now in an unknown facility.
Brown must appear to the authorities on February 6 and be in jail for up to six months. So far he has not spoken to the press or his Instagram followers.
Brown has had several issues with the law since he plagued guilty in 2009 to attack his then-beloved Rihanna. He completed his conditional release for this case in 2015.
