Charlamagne Tha God announced that his mental health, TimesTalk with Kanye West, has been canceled.
"Normalizing mental health is a conversation I really wanted to have with Kanye because he has expressed his opinion about his own mental health problems." The breakfast club The host, who previously revealed his own battle with mental health, wrote Monday.
"Unfortunately, I think having that conversation with him at this time would not be productive and a total distraction from the point of view of eradicating the stigma of mental health, especially in the black community," added Charlamagne, 40.
The decision of the radio host to cancel the event, scheduled for October 17, comes just days after West, 41, met with President Donald Trump at the White House.
During his visit, the Chicago rapper praised Trump and explained his decision to wear the MAGA hat.
"You know, they tried to scare me so I would not use this hat, my own friends," West said. "But this hat, it gives me … it gives me power, somehow, you know, my dad and my mom separated, so I did not have much masculine energy in my home, and also, I'm married to a family that … (laughs) You know, there's not much masculine energy going on, "West continued referring to his wife Kim Kardashian.
"It's beautiful, though," West continued. But there are times when, you know, there's something about … you know, I love Hillary [Clinton]. I love you all, right? But the "I'm with her" campaign just did not make me feel, like a boy, that I did not get to my dad all the time, like a kid who could play ball with his son. "

"It was something about when I put on this hat, it made me feel like Superman, you made a Superman, that was my … that's my favorite superhero, and you made a Superman cape," West added.
West also opened up to Trump about his diagnosis of bipolar disorder.
"I was diagnosed with bipolar disorder, I was connected to a neuropsychologist who works with NBA and NFL athletes, he looked at my brain," West explained.

"After saying he had a" percentile IQ test ", West went on to say that the doctor told him that" he was not really bipolar; I had sleep problems that can cause dementia within 10 to 20 years, when I would not even remember my son's name. "

Before West's meeting with Trump, Charlamagne told MSNC that "Kanye West does not represent all blacks."
"I'm black and I do not support Donald Trump in any way, shape or form."
On the TimesTalks website, it is noted that both West and Charlamagne canceled their appearance.
