Last night on Raw, Braun Strowman was attacked by Baron Corbin, Bobby Lashley and Drew McIntyre during a six-man elimination match. Strowman partnered with Elias and Finn Balor.

The game had no end as Strowman suffered a brutal beating by the opposing team that ended with Corbin crushing Strowman's elbow between the steel steps. Braun was watching him writhing in pain, and the Superstar told the WWE officials he could not feel his fingers. Michael Cole announced during the broadcast that Strowman's elbow had broken.

During the last edition of Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer spoke about the angle of the injury. Meltzer revealed that the angle was made so that Braun could undergo elbow surgery, and that he has been dealing with bone spurs. Dave also noted that his status for his party with Corbin in the TLC: Tables, Stairs & Chairs Pay-per-view is touching and going to this point, and it will depend on the severity of the surgery.

Meltzer also reported that the belief among WWE officials is that Strowman will be able to compete in the Royal Rumble, where he is expected to face Brock Lesnar for the WWE Universal Championship.

In last night's edition of the Wrestling Inc. Podcast, co-host Matt Morgan spoke about Strowman's injury. Morgan had recently spoken with Strowman, who revealed that he had been working with an injured elbow since his battle in the steel cage with The Big Show in RAW last year, on the Sept. 7, 2017 episode.

"Do you remember a month ago I told you how he hurt his elbow?" The Big Show accidentally landed on his elbow with one of his drops, "Morgan asked the hosts of Raj Giri and Glenn Rubenstein. "I was like, why are not you talking about that? [Strowman’s] Walking clumsily, his legs are in poor condition. It will help you sell something here. I wonder if his elbow got worse, I do not know.
