We could also just cancel Halloween this year, because no revelation of costumes will possibly surpass this one. On Tuesday, CW revealed a dramatic first glimpse of Ruby Rose, who will debut as Batwoman (also known as Kate Kane) during this year's Arrowverse Crusade event in December.
In this iteration, Batwoman's civilian is Kate Kane, "a lesbian and trained street fighter ready to die [Gotham City’s] Criminal resurgence. But do not call her a hero yet. "In a city desperate for a savior, Kate must defeat her own demons before accepting the call to be Gotham's symbol of hope."
The three parts of this year, Legends-unless the crossover starts with The flash (Sunday, December 9 at 8 / 7c), continue with Arrow (Monday December 10 at 8 / 7c) and concludes with Supergirl (Tuesday, December 11 at 8 / 7c). A series of Batwoman spinoffs, potentially released in 2019, is already under development at The CW. Caroline dries (The Vampire Diaries) is writing the project, executive producer with Greg Berlanti, Sarah Schechter and Geoff Johns.
"As I grew up watching TV, I never saw anyone with whom I identified, let alone a superhero," Rose told Jimmy Fallon during an appearance in August. The show tonight, recognizing that his casting, as well as the introduction of the character, is a true "game change".
