John Wick movies and killing go together like peanut butter and jelly. Really, really deadly P&J that involves bloodshed, bullets and all kinds of chaos. The title character is after all a (now reluctant) assassin.
As fan-mounted videos show-see below-Keanu Reeves & # 39; John makes a hell of a lot of killing, using weapons, knives, just hands and yes, even a goddamn pencil. EW reported that, according to Chad Stahelski, director of John Wick: Chapter 3 (or John Wick: Parabellum) or whatever, the third film will surpass itself, its deaths "a bit north" of the previous parts.
It really says something. Fans have tried to figure out Wick's previous killings. In the first movie, the number was at least 76, but David Leitch, who was co-registered John Wick with Stahelski, so the number was more than 84.
The number almost doubled John Wick: Chapter 2, with a final death of 128, according to at least one source. That's 212. If John Wick: Chapter 3 ends up with 140-150 dead medsacassins and gangsters, then Wick, a.c. Baba Yaga, taken out a whole neighborhood or a small town.
A reminder of where we are when the third Wick hits theaters next year:
John Wick (Keanu Reeves) is rolling for two reasons … he is being hunted for a global $ 14 million open contract for his life and breaking a key rule: taking a life at the Continental Hotel.
The victim was a member of the High Table who ordered the open contract. John should have already been executed, except that Continental Winston has given him an hour for grace before being "Excommunicado" membership revoked, banned from all services and cut off from other members. John uses the service industry to stay alive as he fights and kills his way out of New York City.
A new picture just published by Empire shows that Reeves & # 39; dog-loving uber killer is definitely in new territory in the movie, as he is facing the director, played by Anjelica Huston, a member of the High Table.
Reeves tells Empire that the filmmakers are "trying to do so that there are different tribes, less indefinite assassins … Anjelica Huston plays this Rome Ruska character."
By the end of John Wick: Chapter 2, Wick told Ian McShane character Winston that he would kill anyone who came after him. Based on knowing that knowing Wick must escape New York to escape bounty on his head, it is easy to believe that the death toll will be quite crazy.
Seeing what Wick did with a pencil would be fun to see if he handles some of the many deaths with other school students.
John Wick: Chapter 3 is in theaters nationwide May 17, 2019.
